چکیده
The common techniques to improve hydrogel's mechanical properties include increasing crosslinking density and forming crosslinked double-network hydrogel, which may cause some hydrogels lose their smart functionalities. Inspired by entanglement-induced strengthening, a simple approach introducing hydroxypropyl cellulose (HPC) fibers entangled with different hydrogel matrix systems are reported. Different from the conventional methods hinder movement of polymer network, through entanglement HPC fibers, composite shows both improved Young's modulus toughness more importantly functionalities including response speed, anti-drying, anti-freezing capabilities cycle stability. This strategy provides new design rule fabricate durable strengthened can be used in windows, sensors, soft robots.

Nano-structured smart hydrogels with rapid response and high elasticity
Smart hydrogels, or stimuli-responsive hydrogels, are three-dimensional networks composed of crosslinked hydrophilic polymer chains that are able to dramatically change their volume and other properties in response to environmental stimuli such as temperature, pH and certain chemicals. Rapid and significant response to environmental stimuli and high elasticity are critical for the versatility o...

Smart Hashing Update for Fast Response
Recent years have witnessed the growing popularity of hash function learning for large-scale data search. Although most existing hashing-based methods have been proven to obtain high accuracy, they are regarded as passive hashing and assume that the labelled points are provided in advance. In this paper, we consider updating a hashing model upon gradually increased labelled data in a fast respo...
